Which kayak to buy

I have been fishing the ICW and marshes for a while in a 23ft cc and want to buy a kayak to open up thin water. I will launch it from my boat often so I want it to be light. I want to be able to stand up and flyfish and pole it. Any suggestions?

Time Out will rent you one, or several to try.</font id=“blue”>

How good is your balance? Seriously, I know dozens of yak fishermen and MAYBE 6 stand up in their yaks.

suggestions W/S Ride 135, Native Ultimate, OK Big Game. Talk to Dave at Time Out… he’s one of the 6

What about the Native 12. Their website shows a video with an older guy standing in it and casting. Would that require super balance.

There is one that the tail fans out like a waterbug. Its made for flyfishing out of.
Even has an optional push pole. I saw an ad in Flyfishing in Saltwaters mag.
I just went and looked it up…Its made by Freedom Hawk. Very cool

Native Ultimate (12 or 14) are part of my suggestions. A Manta Ray requires quite a bit more skill.

I like the concept, but additional parts to break and things to go wrong. I’d add sponsons or outriggers to a “regular” kayak first.

Thank you “Too Busy”. I went by Time Out and saw Dave. He got me fixed up.

I have the prower 13 in lime. It is a patented redfish slayer.
