Simmons in West Ashley
Scout 185
over the years I’ve had multiple issues with Simmons. I won’t go into details(not enough time or space), but I wouldn’t use them. I know plenty of people have had good luck, but my experiences has not been very good. I’ve been using Don’s Machine in Monks Corner, he does real good work for very reasonable prices, he’s familiar with 2 stroke blocks. The only down side is he is very sloooooooooow! If you tell him you need it in a hurry, it may take “only” two weeks. Do not tell him to take his time, he will.
There is a machine shop on Carolyn Ave in Hanahan. They know machining. Give them a try.
quote:Bill Fisk, has a very good reputation, had a Ford motor rebuilt by him years (2001) ago. Great work.
