This could have turned out really bad!
My question is, What did they think was going to happen?? Haul arse like that in a place you can’t see what’s coming and chances are you’re going to hit someone eventually. Both are idiots!!

Wonder why they have trouble catching 5 fish to weigh in! If you have a boat that runs 70mph, you have to go that fast. Just like most of the dump a## bass fisherman on santee cooper. They haul a## from one spot to the other not respecting anyone they go by.
I have never caught a fish going 70mph!

Wow. That’s some crazy boat driving and they paid for it.
The only answer is for the FEDERAL government to step in and regulate the horsepower and speed of outboard boats! I can see it now, The FEDERAL Dept. of Horsesh## & Speed. Oh, I am sorry, horsepower. DHS for short.

Both were running on plane in a very tight, low visibility situation. Both at fault.

I removed it due to content.

I don’t think Radar would have helped in that situation! Both boats could have had it and both would have been lost in the Ground Clutter!
How about standing up so you can see above the grass? Running those speeds on blind corners is just dumb.

Fritzz, I agree! I couldn’t really tell how fast the other boat was going because the one with the camera was hauling azz. I would have been scared to ride through there that fast, with no line of sight! He blasted through there like he owned it. Maybe as the one guy posted, have one of the tall bicycle flags on the boat and slow the heck down. It would have been the same thing if the other boat had been sitting still fishing! He would have still got run over!
As usual, too much testosterone mixed with a high horsepower toy, throw in a large can of dumba**, add in a “I’m THE MAN 'round here” attitude, and you get a tragedy. Well, in this case, almost a tragedy. Probably couldn’t see over their puffed out chests. Everyone was so lucky…

One way boat traffic signs will prevent this. Lets get that on the agenda in Flordia. The federal can claim victory again for saving dumb arsh’s.
A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.
Driving too fast with no visibility to on coming vessels. Basic navigation requirement on the water. I think too many boaters forget boats DONT have brakes. Slow down early and always be in control of your vessel
