Which Transducer - B175M or Wide?

So which Chirp transducer will give more bottom detail, out to say 200’, connected to an Evo 3, in a 22’ CC? One school of thought is the Wide distorts bottom info. Airmar even says they don’t recommend a High-Wide deeper than 100’. Others think Wide ducers are the best thing since sliced bread? ’ not so interested in seeing suspended fish.

Either might work, but I’d like to figure out the best choice. BTW this thread was tried in the Boating Section but did not get many views.

Sounds like you answered your own question. If Airmar doesn’t recommend it deeper than 100’ but you want it for up to 200’ then kinda sounds like the wide would not be the right choice to me. I’d go with the other one then.
