Which Yak For Fishing?

Ocean Caper Angler, Ocean Drifter Angler, Wilderness Tarpon, Mainstream Kingfish, or this one…http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_3/601-9716420-2104142?_encoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B0006FLOPY
What do yall think? Which would be the best value for the money. Its my first yak and I want to use it for fishing pretty much still water and lakes and maybe rivers and streams.

Kloudking, I am a big fan of the Wilderness system tarpon (140 is my favorite). Check out some reviews at www.paddling.net or rent one from Time Out Sport and Ski in Mt. Pleasant. I really like the set up of the “cockpit” area of this boat and it comes standard with a really nice seat, which is a big plus when pricing out a boat. Good luck, see you on the water!!

Thanks Dolphin,
How much for the setup?

Hey Kloodking1: Bass pro shops has the ocean kayaks on sale now. I looked at a couple they had at the mb store. The new bps flyer has the sale prices.

I second Dolphin D. I just tested a Wilderness Tarpon 140 out in Florida and loved it. The boat I tested had a rudder, which was incredible. It really helped steer the boat in a tight creek and was great with the current, as I only had to use the rudder and not paddle. The base price of this boat is around $760 I belive, and with rudder it runs around $900. good luck!

Thanks guys!

hobie mirage outbacks are awesome, they are pricey but well worth the cash if your using it to primarily to fish, you can paddle it or use the peddle drive system for hands free fishing

He right about the Hobie boats. They are a bit pricey, but when you figure you get a rudder system, a paddle, and a really nice seat, it’s not far off the price of similar rigs, PLUS you get the pedal drive! hands free kayaking rocks when fishing!
