How do I eliminate The finish on the inside of my boat from breaking down any further. Its getting annoying when you touch the finish and get that white dust all over you. Is there anything I can do?

Wash it good and then use 3m cleaner wax. Use the 3m Exactly as described on the bottle. DO NOT let it dry or haze over. A good disk buffer makes the job a lot easer.

if its that bad cleaner wax will likely help, but not be aggressive enough to remove all of the oxidation. Use a quality buffer with a wool pad and 3m heavy duty compound. Then remove swirl marks with 3m finesse it compound and a foam pad. then when all of the oxidation is gone apply a quality wax such as 3m, starbright or collonite. Then get some rejex or something and polish it. If you keep it waxed and polished often you shouldnt really have to compound that much again. maybe a little here and there but mostly just wax and polish. Its recommended that you remove all of the old wax before applying new wax with a wax stripper. I find this to be true in certain cases and a waste of time in others(to much to expalin). Either way, if you let it go w/o love for a long time and sit in the sun you will have to do all of that again. Getting and using a cover will help tremendously in preserving the wax/polish and keep the uv rays from deteriorating the gel coat.
