If you could take a trip to hunt trophy whitetail deer, where would it be? Any previous experience with outfitters you highly recommend or to stay away from?

I have hunted in Alabama, Illinois, Kansas and Maryland, have taken bucks in all but Kansas but still had a great time there. Hunted with Sam T. Moore in both Kansas and Illinois. His operation is “Midwest Finest”, he is hard core and reasonably priced, nice accommodations and lots of hunting ground. Mostly set up for archery but does do muzzle loader and gun hunts. I killed a 140 and a 167 with him in Illinois.
There is a group of people from here in Florence that have been going to Texas over the past 5 years with great success! “Red River Valley Outfitters”. On my bucket list!
I think it depends on your budget and what your expectations are!
I would like to take a whitetail trip to Canada but you need to prepare for long days and cold weather.
Blue tong and other diseases have made havoc on a lot of Midwest populations but I understand most are coming back!

Not entirely sure why, but it really bothers me that it’s Midwest Finest and not MIDWEST’S FINEST…

I’d love to go to Saskatchewan or somewhere like Ohio, Iowa, Kansas etc

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.
