Left the dock at 9am .Gassed up $100 worth at $4.35 a Gal.Dropped anchor at the crab bank Whiting hole.Noticed water temp was 58 degrees.We caught about 20 whiting in 4 hours.A couple were 15 -16 inchers.My main battery went dead.Forgot the aireator and depth recorder were on.Had to pull my troll battery so we could get home.I need to change wiring so all the acc stuff is on the trolling motor batteries.Nice day a little chilly and windy.
Mmmmmm, fried whiting. Sounds good! Those were some big ones. Do use cut shrimp for bait?

Good catch. In NC we use âshad dartsâ spiked with cut shrimp. Kills them.
Cut white shrimp.I had some brown and they did not like it??

We always fished with tiny tiny pieces of squid or tiny pieces of cut shrimp. People often think they are being âhadâ by pinfish or other bait snatchersâŚwhen actually itâs the small quick pecks of whiting⌠Double rig with little pieces of bait fished on the bottom with a weight âŚwe,d tear them up . Loved fishing for whiting with my parents as kidsâŚstill doâŚnot to mention they are gooood eating
