Hey fishing world… Have anyone had any luck with the whitings yet. When do they start coming in and biting good. Want to get a trip up and bring the kids down so they can wear themselves out catching whiting all day…
I know me and Barbawang are some whiting go-getters…
BARBAWANG what info would you have on this…
I caught some in the creeks last week about 8 inches long haven’t seen any of the fleet out fishing for them yet.

Key West Stealth 150 V-max (SOLD)
Caught several off of the IOP pier/surf this week, along with a few Black Drum. Smaller pieces of bait seemed to produce bigger fish for some reason. Bite wasn’t hot, but steady.

When they come for my guns and ammo. I plan on giving them the ammo. first!
Appreciate it guys. Yeah i went about 2 months ago in folly and only caught about 4 in a 2 day stay. Nooot good.
Hey Mixed Nutz how you been.
The channel in the Stono close to Kiawah holds whiting better then the Folly, there are people who fish that area its called the Kitchen and they fill the cooler with whiting and spot and sharks, certain tides and wind make it rough there sometimes. Good fishing in the Folly river is spot oriented for me (docks, points, drop offs, oyster mounds) and if your just off the spot you won’t catch much.
bro you went at the worst time of year! not that I have enough time to have real first hand reports, but the second hand info is that whiting have been in the creeks and in the surf for a while, plenty numbers and a few bigger ones each time.
65 degrees is what I have been told by commercial folks, so we’ve been good since mid-march by the numbers
also, the no-boater forum a little south of this one tends to have the majority of the whiting reports…
Bet. Thanks alot. I plan on coming back down soon Barbawang and will contact you and Matt when i do
