We passed the end of the jetties a little after 7am. Saw a number of boats congregated there, but decided to head out deeper. Skirted a storm line. Got beat up a little. Half dozen or so cut offs. Went back closer to shore and caught a good sized Spanish. Well at least we weren’t skunked. The crew did win some good stuff at the captains meeting, so not a total loss. As usual had a great time. How did ya’ll do?

It wasn’t much better up north in 60’ either, lots of sharks, but lost a nice fish that ran back on the line and then ate it. Jack and Erin Bracewell’s 43 lb fish was not going to fall. they had a 31 lb fish in the bag too. Thanks to everyone who fished. We’ll be bigger and better next year. For those who missed the captain’s meeting we had a lot of good swag for the raffle, free beer and chicken wings.
