With the election coming up next week, are there certain elected officials we should be voting for who will help us fight against the atrocious decisions of the SAFMC, NOAA, etc.?
Which elected officials will help us fight to restore our opportunity to catch and actually keep these so called overfished species?

Barack Obama was visiting a primary school and he visited one of the classes. They were in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings. The teacher asked the president if he would like to lead the discussion on the word ‘tragedy’. So our illustrious president asked the class for an example of a ‘tragedy’.
One little boy stood up and offered: “If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs over him and kills him, that would be a tragedy.”
“No,’ said Obama, 'that would be an accident.”
A little girl raised her hand: “If a school bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy.”
“I’m afraid not,’ explained Obama.
'That’s what we would call great loss.”
The room went silent. No other children volunteered. Obama searched the room. “Isn’t there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?”
Finally, at the back of the room, Little Johnny raised his hand. In a quiet voice he said: “If the plane carrying you and Mrs. Obama was struck by a ‘friendly fire’ missile and blown to smithereens, that would be a tragedy.”
“Fantastic!’ exclaimed Obama. 'That’s right. And can you tell me why that would be tragedy?”
“Well,’ says Johnny, 'It has to be a tragedy, because it sure wouldn’t be a great loss… and you can bet it probably wasn’t an accident either.”

While she is an eco-based advocate, she is also a free market environmental profiteer advocate, and pulling off the privatization / industrialization scheme of the century that would make any self respecting republican/Wall St shark proud.
Though the Presidents supporters, supposedly many OWS advocates, and self proclaimed environmentalists, are adamantly opposed to privatizing anything, they ignore this issue.
The corporate funded environ puppets trumpet that over fishing is the culprit for every symptom of ocean degradation and depletion. Maybe that’s why the left leaner’s of OWS hypocritically ignore the Obama Wall Street giveaway, and are convinced evil fishermen will get what they deserve. Being marginalized.
They fail to recognize the pollution of the toxic soup we flush into the eco system every day through municipal sewerage treatment facility’s may have something to do with ocean degradation. Its much easier to blame fishermen, and some people make great livings doing that.
Privatization of the fishing industry, and industrialization is primarily for energy production! Oil, Gas, Wind, including industrialized polluting coastal fish farm ventures. This is the green horizon that beckons.
These visions are bought and paid for with the oil dollars environs find repulsive!
Pew, the people that bring the Pew polls that most left leaning Green advocates prefer is paid for with oil money.

That nice tidy package of green info to convince the public that fishermen are the cause of the ocean destruction through mass information campaigns of the Society of Environmental Journalists? Oil money.
A tsunami of oil bucks creates the green articles from the oil drenched ENGO’s that environs love to read.

Regardless of who wins the election, I doubt much will change. A major revamp of the Magnusun Stevens Act, which was just revisited and reathourized in 2006, would have to occur. Too much else on the agenda for this to make any headlines during the next four years.

If that sorry ass Obama gets reelected we are in for a world of hurt that we may never get out of!!!
To think this election could even be close shows how sorry of a state America is in…IMO.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if the best we got is Obama or Romney this country is in really bad shape! But seriously, who in their right mind would even want to be president? A thankless no win position IMO! I mean if you pushed Susie Q in 1st grade the media will pull up a picture and cast you as a bully he man woman hater! Just my Opinion - but i think we should all write in Sells and Phin!!
