Who uses oxygen in their bait tank ?

I have a Keep alive oxygen infusion system for my bait tank and can’t find anyplace in SC that will fill my brand new aluminum tank with oxygen.Do any one on this forum use anything like that if so where do you get oxygen?

I called the welding supply places they will not do it

Most of your welding supplies use a trade system. Empty tank for full. They don’t have the equipment to fill tanks. Have you tried a medical supply?
Also, you might contact Keep Alive, and see what they suggest.

keep alive says welding supply but they will not do it. keep alive is out of transfill hoses that they sell to fill your own tank from a regular welding oxygen tank .Until they have them back in stock I am dead in the water with this system

Guess I didn’t read your 1st post correctly. Didn’t realize u had a keep alive tank. Good luck with that.I can’t find anywhere that will refill them. And keep alive customer service is horrible!

I went to my local heating and air supplier. Paid 80$ for a full tank. And when it gets empty I just switch it out where I bought the tank for like 10$.

I went to the gas supply place in newberry and the guy there was real helpful i bought a hose and fittings and made my own transfill hose to fill it from a big oxygen tank .

uhhhhhhh just be careful not to blow yourself up … seriously … it’s happened …

I use AirGas on Shop Rd (across from DMV) … They will fill “personal” tanks … but here’s the catch … You will not get it back on the spot … New EPA regs (don’t even get me started on that) require that all tanks be inspected prior to filling … The closest authorized inspection site is in Charlotte … Basically, it’ll take three plus weeks to get your shiny tank back …

Based on that info I opted not to buy a Keep Alive tank and just purchased one of AirGas’s swappable tanks … $98 for the tank and $10 thereafter to swap them out …

… it’s my Wife’s fault we HAVE to fish !!!
