Got the boat from the guys at Long shore marine Friday. Left the dock at 430 to an Awesome ocean! Ran out 35+ headed north of the 226 hole, but didn’t quite make it that far. Stop on a nice weed line in 250ft temp gauge was only 77F, but it looked too good to pass up. Pulled the lines on the weed line until 1230. Kept that crew busy keeping weeds off the lines, but picked at the dolphin all morning. Boated 18 dolphin, released 4 for another day. Decided to bottom bump in 170ft. Caught my first Cobia, 30lbs +, on a butterfly jig. Then boated 4 scamp and assorted bottom dwellers. Ran in at 40mph. Ended the day with 14 dolphin (1 35lbs, 4 20+lbs, 5 gaffers, 4 nuts), 4 Scamp, 1 cobia. Glad to have two engines working again!

I think he is saying he ran 35+mph/knots out. Not 35miles.

Scootin is right! We were probably 53 miles from the rocks.
