I just put the boat back in the garage. Two kids and the wind is not a good combination. May try this afternoon if the wind calms down.
no doubt. I hope the winds lay down but i’m not holding my breath. we’re going regardless.

did ya’ll have any luck ? …I marked some fish at the north end of bcrk …none in the boat:frowning_face: …this skunk is really smelling up the place [:0]
We marked a lot of fish in the little gap but could not get any takers. Wind made for tough fishing. We trolled some Urigs and stretch 20s, trolled live herring and tried cut bait once the wind got out of hand. We launched from koon and it was quite a rough, wet ride back. Glad we were not in P’s old jonboat or we may have been swimming.
there were a couple times i felt like the guys in tom’s avatar. LOL
a few of the swells were large. i’d say the ‘regular’ waves were in the 2’ range with the swells easily 3-4. not fun at night when you can’t really see what coming until there’s a shower of water hitting you in the face.

...is that yall in the backround,by chance ?
nope.
here’s a pic of my boat…
we don’t usually fish with the bimini top on. and i’ve got a “trolling bar” across the stern with 4-5 rods on down/free lines usually. and 4 rod holders on the bow rail- 2 each side.

that boat doesn’t look “shakey” at all !!! …isn’t that the name ?
That’s not shakey, shakey is my boat.
I would call that ‘Lucky’. ‘Lucky’ if you get back to shore dry.
