Why Knot 7-17

Left the docks at 4:30 and headed out on a very calm and windless day. After dodging some container ships we were headed out. Easy ride to 110 where the troll spread was deployed. We trolled till 930 with very constant action from a variety of fish. First fish an AJ then a Cuda then a Mahi then a King. We had a couple good mystery strikes thrown in there as well. So the trolling action was steady but it was a mixed bag. Gave up on the trolling and headed to some bottom. Bottom action was quick. We got 2 nice scamps and a whole bunch of other critters, Vermillion, Silver snappers, Trigger, Cbass, and Porgy etc. We even managed to grab the last red snapper in the ocean. Don?t worry we threw him back so the population is still 1 for you hippies out there. We had a great day on the ocean with a great crew. Finally getting the new boat dialed in and besides the mindless autopilot its working great.

Nice report. Thanks for giving me some hope. Now I just have to wait for a weekend with weather like you had yesterday.

Mindless autopilot sounds better than some homicidal autopilot’s I have tried before. Have any more pictures of the new boat? Looks like a sweet, well powered ride.
