Why not to tie flies ...

Because you spend an hour working on a new fly/art, and then you don’t want to fish with it …

… but I am going to anyway

No luck, he swims well, or shall I say float, and the Chenille tail looks real in the water, strip it hard enough he dives a little, can’t wait to tie a few more for backup

I think it’s to early in the year for that. I bet once it really warms up for good and the bass start busting bait on top water you will do well with that. My buddy has caught bass one mouse patterns up n nj in the summer. And he also uses it when he goes to ny for trout at night.

yeah I was more or less tying it for fun, I don’t do to much bass fishing

No need to go that far. A Wyoming or Montana Brown would enjoy shredding that.

The worst day of fishing is still better than the best day at work

what kind of fiber is the mouse fur?

There is no greater fan of fly fishing than the mud minnow.

Sweet Georgia browns have crushed some of my mice that didnt look nearly as good. No need to go far for good monster trout when they are as close as Atlanta to Blue Ridge.

Yes, you might catch them in the Blue Ridge but not with company like this…
