So I’m just out for an afternoon of fishing by the Hwy 41 bridge that crosses the Wando. Why do people yell stuff at me? For example, today, “Get the F*%$ out of my fishing spot ya jack ass”! On another day, “You ain’t catchin’ sh$3@!”. Another day, “I Fu#@$%@ your sister”. “You suck!” I like to catch the sheepshead, but this is a distraction.
Are these buddies of yours? Gotta be, no one would ever say these things and not expect to get shot at! We all have 5 Starbuck’s within 5 miles of us, but never forget…your in the Deep South!
I think its funny they would consider the Detyen’s / Hwy 41 Bridge their spot…It only has about 5 boats around it at any given moment. Is it just one boat or a few different boats?
in my opinion trash talking to other fisherman on the water is very underrated. I plan to do a lot more of it real soon. I plan to target opti, DF, and DF’s boyfriend
I can think of a few easy solutions for you. 1.) Trade me your quiet four stroke for my loud two stroke, problem solved. 2.) Install a radio, problem solved. 3.)see how far you can throw a 4 ounce sinker or try out your flare gun, might not solve the problem but i bet whoever is yelling will think twice next time. Yes, I know 3 is bad advice but id love to see someone do it! Seriously though, I fish there often and have never had a issue. You sure its just not some of your friends screwing with you that may recognize your boat out there ?
These are people driving across the bridge. Lots of cars honk there horns as well.
I have a good sense of humor and honestly think it’s funny. Adds a whole new perspective to fishing.
