We fished with Captain Rodney, Cappy, wife Robbie and neighbors Ted and Janet. Had a great, cool, smooth day on the big pond - leaving the dock at 5am sharp!
Went deep south and caught a nice 1 King just short of the ledge within 5 minutes. Caught a dolphin 7 minutes later … looking good!
Had a nice 45# Wahoo that got the hook below the jaw and it ripped down and slit him all the way down his belly to his tail. He came in backwards! Very odd, but he was dead, bled and gutted before we gaffed him!
Finished the day with 3 gaffer dolphin (25, 30 and 35#), 3 slinger dolphin, 45# Wahoo and 20# King.

That dude was a handful when the hook was midship and he was fighting. Once it slid to the back he couldn’t get any oxygen (like being tail hooked) and gave up the ghost pretty quick. Lucky the sharks didn’t get him.
Going again 6/1 or 6/2, then 6/6 and then 6/14 and 6/20 …
