wind blown

Bagged it Thurs. morning due to wind but was on the water Fri. before sunup. Wind speed rose with the sun. Went to a lowtide flat and found a school of about 30 fish pushing bait. Caught 4 nice reds including a seasons best 39" beast. Went back Sat. morning and the wind was even worse. Got to the flat at a higher stage of a falling tide and watched a massacre as flipper and his 2 friends wore out the school I was hoping to fish. Paddled into the middle of the meelee and beat my paddle on the water and the dolphins still wouldn’t give it up. They finally left when the tide was so low their backs were exposed. The fish were so screwed up by then I fished for 2 hours and caught 1 then left them to recover. All fish were caught on gulp shrimp rigged with a buttdragger hook. Nice 2 days even with the wind.

Is the flat you are talking about the lagoon thing that goes dry at low tide, right next to Capt. Sams Creek? Or is it further inland?
