Just wanted to get yalls thoughts on whats a good wind direction for a better ride on the way to the ledge? thanks

wind out of the west gives you a good ride out but your gona take it in the face comming back

Anytime NOAA says variable, 5-10 kts, its going to be a nice day. Generally a steady wind >10 kts gives you this:

N/NE - sucks the farther you go
W - nice the 1st 15-20 mi, then wet. Not fun on the way in.
NW/SW - ok
E/SE - not good on the way out, ok on the way in

I prefer the wind thats going to give me the better ride back. After a long day being tossed around and sunburned I prefer a nice ride back.

thanks for the help we’ll be headed down from spartanburg area this month sometime for some bottom fishing we’ll see yall out there
