Wind fishing?

Left my dock at 0800 yesterday. My creek was slick as glass but I could see trees moving with the breeze. The further I got from my dock the more wind. When I hit the ICW I saw white caps.I ran up the ICW for about a mile and called it quits.I came beck into my creek and fished at a good spot in My creek.I caught 3 Trout all 8 inchers and one red about 14 inches. The wind picked up in my creek and i just left due to running out of fishing water.Tide just left.:stuck_out_tongue::stuck_out_tongue: The trout hit the last grub i tried the New penny.Red took old frozen shrimp on a carolina rig.Not bad for my first trip in 5 months.I will fish off My dock today for a while.I did see plenty of menhaden on the graph while on the ICW.I hate wind fishing and there are not many spots in the Stono you can hide.Church creek is a perfect hide spot but I would have been beaten to death getting to my CC spots. The perfect spot is Rantowles flats.I just can not get under the bridge to fish it.If you can get under the bridge fish the Wallace creek side.Great trout spots all up and down the creek. In a flats rig the Rantowles side is just perfect near the Hunt Club Property.Another spot is also under a bridge on River road.I sometimes wish i had my 14ft Alumacraft.I found some great spots over the last 30 years.:smiley::smiley:
