Saltwater Shrimping

I’m coming down next week for a few days and have begun watching the weather reports. I’ll be shrimping in bulls bay or up towards cowpens. What wind speed should begin to cause me concern?

North to north-east for sure.

Definently N to NE. Anything above about 10 mph gets to be a little rough. Sat was a 5 mph wind NNE and it was perfect. Today was about 8-9 and it was a little choppy but still very doable. There are shrimp in the creeks if you can’t get to the bay.

Thanks. I’ll be putting in at buck hall. Any Specific creeks? Free cast, or bait in the creeks?

If you go to the south end you can free cast the mouth of Anderson creek. Just figure out what depth they are at. Wednesday they were holding about 7-9 feet deep. Sat before that word was they were at 10-12 feet. Just figure the depth and stay in that depth and you should catch them.
