I had mine replaced by by Window World. They are easy to clean and I was amazed at the difference in sound, no noise from the street. My pups will be raising heck and when I open the door for their inspection to the property then I hear folks across the street. They also help with energy ,I got to write off most of the cost on taxes that year.
I must admit the first crew they sent to install them were not very good. Let me restate that their" crew leader" was a slouch, more worried about eating lunch and having a few than installing windows. He and another guy left for about 3hours leaving 2 helpers who tried but needed guidance. When the crew leader finally did return about 1/2 hour before quitting time and it had started to drizzle said they would be back mid day the next since they had another job to start," MY A$%& you will. I got them installed by another crew and they did a good job. They had to redo some of the stuff the slackers did but took the time and finished things properly.
Hey Penny, have you used the Pushpole yet or did it not work out for you. Please remember to give a shout out when you might need some rods and reels for the Veterans.

Look into sash packs. Norco which is now Jeld Wen use to make a replacement produce that basically replaced your existing window sashes with ne insulated glass and the liners, making them tilt windows. With the sash packs you aren’t limited to the the snap in grids or GBG style grid, you can get the divided light look. Also the window opening isn’t reduced. They aren’t had to put in yourself if you have a hammer, nail set and a moulding pry bar. You’ll have a much better looking window unit, no reduced opening and save money if you are a DIY’r.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I have Tuesday the use pole twice, and enjoyed using it…?..and m sure I will use it even more this spring/summer. Missed seeing you at the cf oyster roast…was hoping you would make it.
We thought f indie world too but have Also heard some not so good stories a bout delivery times and slow/ shoddy work…so a little hesitant to talk to them.

Saltydog…we could probably do it ourself if we saw one done…but Donne and I some times have “differences f opinion” when doing jobs together around the house

It is that easy to do and you don’t end up with a plastic looking window.

My Dad and I replaced all the windows in his home (built in 1929) by ourselves. Really not that hard at all. Did all of them (18 if I remember correctly) in about a day and a half… Just custom ordered from Lowe’s.

Do the DP ratings and wind loads allow for the sash replacement kits there. We just had a pretty sweeping code change last year. Also…where is the impact glass dividing line…? Anyone know…?

Hey Penny glad the Pushpole worked.I had planned on tghe Oyster roast ended up working.Good luck with the windows.
