a great Sunday morning fishing. Fished Parris Island and caught 5 nice reds. Three 20-22.5 inches (kept 2), the other 2 were monsters that were chasing not mullet, but a large school of jumbo size shrimp. Those two were caught on a Storm Lure mullet imitation. The smaller reds were caught on big pieces of cut shrimp next to the grass.

I’ll have to check the package, but the color was white. I was casting in a school of big reds. They would hit it as soon as it would hit the water. I was fishing at Third Battalion Pond on Parris Island. This is a very special place, ask anyone that has fished there.

I took a guy I used to work fishing several times showed him some good spots & he spouted off to half the people he new. Our fishing friendship came to an abrupt end. I continued to find good spots for Reds & Trout & never took him again. Never entrust a golden fishing spot to a blabber mouth.

I appreciate your help. Is that pond feed by the tides or is it landlocked?
This always cracks me up… Send me an e-mail and I’ll tell you about all the spots I know… not that I am a giude or anything but you know there is such a limited amount of water to fish around here, and so little fish… I always laugh my butt off when people get worked up about “Their Spot”… I wanna get a boat and just run around “crowdin” everyone

If I am not mistaken the only spot that jaz gave up is on a military base that most of us can not fish. If it is on the base and most can not fish what did he really give up?
It’s all good!!! Just brought some salt water assassin woodpecker and newpenny colors to try for trout this weekend. Has anyone had any luck with this lures? They look promising.

Spots are kinda like girlfriends, you have the town tramps that you really could care less who fishes in & then there are the one’s you want for yourself.
The folks that don’t care about their spots are basically just running with the town tramps & have never really found a true honey hole deserving protection from the hoards.

Oh, and since I first arrived here, it was common knowledge as a place to go fish. Kind of like telling someone about a Fish hatchery! 
What people forget, is the ponds are pretty big, and some places in them are more productive than others.
