this one is for peapod.
started out really slow.
didn’t find a fish until 9am.
then didn’t find another decent fish until noon thirty.
found em as the tide was rolling:
Totals: 30+ reds, 10+ small trout, 2 flounder, and a couple sheepshead.
The reds were all slot fish with the exception of one kicker 25" fish and 2 under slot pups.
Fished nothing but mud minnows and fiddler crabs on the bottom.
nothing wanted the popping cork for some reason.
still have not jumped on the artificial bandwagon yet, but will soon.
ran into a buddy also hiding from the wind and he had done VERY well with the keeper sized trout throwing grubs.
All fish found on structure…too windy for the flats for me.

Thanks for the report. If that abuse wasn’t enough, head on out tomorrow! I think it supposed to be WORSE! The fish don’t seem to care, though!

pea pod…man the thrift stores are the bomb this time of year…I got me two sets of ski bibs and matching jackets to wear fishing…a northface winter jacket and a pair of rubber boots for 24.75 last week…all looked brand new!!! wooohoooo…and ahmmm…I think I’ll pass on the bathing suit thing…bet ya’ll are glad

Jimislander, I’ll do some fun fishing soon, and if I can stay off the sheepshead bite long enough to throw a grub you bet I’ll be on it.
tougher fishing today: but a girl on the boat did catch a 4lb flounder. couple of spottails and a few trout with a double handful of bait stealers thrown in.
I hate wind.
