This wind has been a Bear. I have a general rule that if it’s going to blow more than 16 mph I will find something else to do.
Last Friday we had friends hit the airport around eleven am and they wanted to get on the boat so I had about an hour to fish before they met me at the landing.
It was blowing over 16.
Our friends wanted to do a fish fry if we could catch enough fish. I think I filled six trout and let the flounder go.
Anyway, it’s taken me awhile to get on this windy pattern but I think I’ve got it figured out. I explain how I’m doing it in the video above.
I’m casting into the wind and letting the big wind loop in my line bounce the soft plastic across the oyster rakes. I must have tied five jig heads on. It’s not cheap. But, those trout were hitting it pretty constantly.
They are no secrete. There are three sets of them. Been around for years. You can reach out to me on this forum. Or text me at +18433602867
They are mostly wintertime fishing spots.
