Was told earlier in the week that I could do some fishing on Saturday morning and skip the house work. Of course, it was a tad windy. Got to Paradise at sunrise and hit the outgoing tide. Wind was blowing upriver and was strong enough to push me upstream of the outgoing tide. I knew it would be a battle.
Did some paddling and throwing and managed a couple small trout early on a mud minnow and a curly tail. Found a little spot and buried myself in the grass to get out of the wind for a little. Managed a few more trout on the same combo.
After this fizzled, I moved to another spot I like, hunkered down and found some fish. Picked up 6 reds floating a mud minnow, 2 over slot, 2 in the slot, and 2 under. That school moved out, I moved down and picked up 3 little flounder.
It was a solid fishing day but a LOT of work against that wind. All said, good times for about 4 hours of fishing.
