Heading down this weekend for my annual shrimping/Charleston vacation. Looks to be pretty windy all next week. I usually go into the south end of bulls bay, but does not look like the wind will ease up enough to work this out. Any ideas of where I could go to stay out of the wind and also yield a few shrimps.
Thank you
We had the same problem when we were there last year. We ran up the ICW to muddy Bay and coolered twice in 2 days. Still windy, but not nearly as rough as bull’s bay. If you’ve never been there, ask for the best way in or you will likely get stuck! Good luck, and post some reports while you’re there.

When we go to the Bay and its too windy in the Bay, we go to the end of Anderson Creek. Look to the left or strait ahead is open water and can get rough. On those times we go to the right were it looks like a river and set up as close to the bank as we can making sure to have enough water to not get high and dry. We have done well in this area and it is more protected. Hope this helps.
Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it!
Thank you Upstate and Tailchaser. I have been to muddy bay. You are correct we spent the day waiting on the tide change. Tailchaser when you say right are you speaking of the right side just as you enter the bay?
Thank you again guys. I will post updates as we are able to get out.
