Great article, Optiker, and congrats on the 2016 store placement of the Trout Eye jig. That’s something in which to be very proud!

Thanks RAD. You would know! We owe it all to Z-Man and local shops like Haddrell’s Point (especially) and other local shops who supported us from day 1. We appreciate it!

Recently received a 2016 Bass Pro Shops saltwater catalog and came across the Z-Man stuff with the Trout Eye jig as well as other stuff. We are fortunate to have our “local” boys doing so well, yet staying grounded all the while and sharing their success with all of us. From Optiker (Trout Eye and misc.) to Courtland (JigSkinz) to Phin (Marsh Tacky), along with countless others on this site and around like Sellsfish.

Thanks to all of ya’ll.

Nice work Opt! Congrats on everyting and thanks at the same time…Looks like you’re still using original TT’s, can you still purchase those? I am almost out of my original ones and about to have to switch to the Zman plastic

Stump, yes they are still available on Z-Mans website. I’m considering stocking them but honestly I’m catching a lot on the elaztech version

Great read and good info. If ever get a boat again, I hope to start winter trout fishing more.

On the subject of Z-Man lures, we have just added a hand-picked selection of other lures to our store. MinnowZ, StreakZ and Slim SwimZ in select colors that have been working really well for us

Just happened to pick some up today at Barron’s in downtown Columbia. Hoping to give them a workout this weekend.

Lot’s of interesting information on Phillips site. I have a few of those trout eye jigs and it looks like I need to use them. Were not aware of the top water strikes. This ole dogs has learned a new trick. Thanks Optiker for sharing this information.
