Fairly new to this slightly colder climate. In FL, when water temps dropped in the lower 60s, the fish start to really slow down. Of course the fish here are more used to the colder water, but I was wondering if the action continues through the winter here. Thanks
Our fishing won’t get slow for redfish and trout until the water temps fall below 50 degrees. Even after that, they will eat voraciously during warming trends.
do the whiting, croakers, etc. still hang around too. r do they move offshore like the flounder and sheeps
it is easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission
Shenanigans, if you want whiting, go just at the front 20 yards of the jetties. Using a Khale hook or cicle - yes, CICLE, not circle - and 18 inch leader on a carolina rig, you’ll slay em. We used cut up shrimp and couldn’t keep the (**() things off the line. About two weeks ago we decided to start keeping them about 2 hours before it was time to leave and ended up with about 18-20.
