Spent a couple of days up in western North Carolina fishing the Davidson and Pigeon drainages, targeting primarily high altitude wild native brooke trout streams. Caught some beautiful fish.
I did hook a monster brown on the lower Davidson which broke me off before I knew what was going on.
The water was high so my usual DH harvest waters would not cooperate but the higher up I went the better it got. Broke in my new 3wt combo. Lots of fun.
