Woman's rod/reel combo suggestion

I’d like recommendations for a PINK fishing rod. The reel doesn’t have to be pink. Will be fishing for reds, trout and flounder with 10-14 lb mono. Like to keep it all under $80.

I’m blessed to have a wife that tolerates fishing and occasionally par takes. She can cast a spinning reel. No zebcos or Dora rods please

Thanks!

JMHO but unless she asked for pink, that is pretty sexist. Get a matched combo.

The drag isn’t the best but it works.

Yeah:sunglasses: Just go to Wally World and get one of the Barbie rod and reel combos. Buy her a regular rod and reel and show some respect! You don’t want her to out fish you, with girl stuff! How would that look[:0]

Dang![:0] I got one for my 5yr old Grand Daughter last year! May have to take her Tuna fishing with me:smiley:

If you want her to enjoy herself get her some decent stuff. My wife use a Penn 320gti on an Ugly Stick. The whole combo was about $150.

For a spinner the Penn Battles or Fierce are pretty good. The Fierce is red, pretty close to pink.

Penn Pursuit 4000 7ft rod. $57 wallyworld. Not pink, but for the price, when she is no longer interested you can use it. If she breaks it, no big deal.
All I run are Penn Pursuits and Penn Fierce. Cheap, work great, decent drags, and the rod can go from freshwater ponds to nearshore reefs.
Oh, did I mention they are cheap?

I did my walk through Bass Pro Sunday while in MB. They did have a pink rod of some sort if you are dead set on a pink one.
