I have a 90 yamaha 2 stroke that was acting up yesterday. It wouldn’t hold an idle well but once I got the rpms up it ran fine. I am thinking it must be a fuel problem. It hasn’t really sat with fuel for longer than 2 weeks during last 6 months, but old/bad fuel is on top of the list for what could be wrong with it. Any issues with using sta-bil AND sea foam or some other fuel treatment? Suggestions? Thanks
you most likely have a restriction in the idle circuit in one of the carbs

Thanks for the reply. Will a treatment with sea foam help that?
