Well my client for today backed out on me. I had all the hard work done, so I went fishing anyway
Fished the Wando early and picked up a couple of nice over the slot reds before 8 am on the falling tide. Biggest was a little over 30 inches, smaller one was 24 or 25. Big girl ate a new penny paddle tail, smaller one nailed a Yozuri 6 inch swim bait silver / smoke.
A couple of guys in a john boat were just tearing up one school of reds. They’d motor up, put out 5 or 6 lines and drift live bait about 20 feet from the bank. Watched emm catch 5 over the slot in less than 30 minutes.
I headed across the street to Copahee to fish the incoming. Had to do the copahee stomp to get out of the creek and then it was NON STOP RED HOT REDFISH ACTION for about 2 hours.
Caught a butt load of reds, stopped counting after 10.
Z MAN ULTASHRIMP is a KILLER!!!
Ultrashrimp under a popping cork was the hot bait. There were shrimp busting everywhere and reds were hot on em.
Biggest fish was 34 inches. All but 1 fish was over the slot.
Left em biting and headed up the hill befoer the storms gathered.

are you using one of the Captivas in that vid?..sounds pretty smooth. If you ever want to fish out of a motor boat let me know. I have no idea why in the world you’d want to but the offer stands anyway.
Neat Video. The stono has been pretty active today also just after high tide. Fishing off of a gazebo dock we managed to break a few walmart rods on some big redfish with finger mullet as bait and also empty a few wheat soda containers. We left the kayaks in the yard and enjoyed the view of the impressive storm system passing through.
