work out for the capt.

Left Remleys at 5am, for bottom dwellers. Headed for the 60, and jigged up a good mess of cigar minnows. By 7am, the seas were 3ft 2-3 seconds, and with water coming in over the bow and the stern, we decided to troll and let the weather lay down. Put in 4 lines, and immediately caught two dolphin and a king (slingers) in 60 ft. Very few bites for the next 3 hours as we trolled out towards the ledge. Lots of weeds and flyers everywhere. Weather laid down around 1130am, and we hit some numbers at 100 ft. A little slow but steady, end of the day was a good mess of grouper, snapper, bsb’s, pinks, and other bottom dwellers. Caught some very nice american reds, but they were 19 1/2 inches even after we stepped on em. Rode in 26 knots, had a great crew.

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

Blue Mule,

Glad you guys had a good day out. We left Saturday night out of Wappoo Cut for an overnighter and decided to turn back around once we got 3 miles out. We were in a 23 ft KW and decided that it would have been to sloppy. Three footers stacked up last night.
