Caught what must’ve been about a 5 lbs sailfish slow trolling in 60 ft sunday. Kinda sad the live bait rig tore him all up.

Well I’m afraid this site might try to track me down and heckel/write me a ticket/beat me for posting a picture of a sailfish out of the water. It was so small I couldn’t get all the hooks out any other way.
I heard the small ones actually jump in the boat. It is okay to post a picture of you trying to save its live after it landed in your cockpit.

It is better to leave the hooks in as the will rust out rather quickly, especially treble hooks from a live bait rig. Just throwing that out as I don’t really care either way. I also have been jumped by the CF Sailfish Police in the past and never received anything but a cyber beating from some of the “professional” CF anglers…

we caught 1 that small in the bait net while drifting for swords one night,its actually very cool to sit there and watch all the life that comes around your lights at night…

Yes the pic is real caught it while sword fishing in the net. I have also caught dolphin that small to here is one that didnt make it.
