Worms in the Creek?

Last night, I was out messing around on my dock and saw what I thought were small fish and when I would shine my spotlight, they would congregate and go crazy. They were moving around so quick that it was hard to tell, but I started to notice that they didn’t look like fish - they’re actually a worm or something…? Can anyone identify what these are? Do fish eat them? Are they dangerous to swim around? I’ve lived on the creek for a couple years and have never noticed these before. Not sure if the king tide maybe has something to do with it.

Below are links to two videos I took of them. Nasty critters…

Edit: So after an hour of searching, it looks like these things are cinder worms. Apparently a pretty rare phenomenon - everything lines up though, with the moon phases, tides and all.

Interesting.

The thickest I’ve seen these was with you. So thick the ramp was slick. Remember that?
