why not? if you’d like some constructive criticism, read on if not skip to the next one
the first one looks skrimpy… it’s different and will probably get eaten.
the second one, the crab pattern with the peacock tail… looks cool but those feathers won’t last past one fish. the body looks good tho, I prefer to trim mine down on the top and bottom. Use rabbit strip for the tail or some other tougher fiber/material so it will hold up.
The last one, again looks skrimpy and will probably get eaten, I’d put the wing on the other side to camouflage the hook point/help with weedlessness.
Over all I’d say you have some good looking patterns, your thread wraps on the last head could be smoother but that comes with time. When you are tying slow down… take your time and make those wraps smooth and clean, especially the heads. it make syour fly look better and makes it easier to get a leader through the eye… Keep at it!!1

Thanks man great pointers. These weren’t tied by methough but by my ten year old kid brother. He told me he “loves arts and crafts in school lol”
He just tied these with some stuff left over from a while ago when i started but i never really had time in college but now im looking to get back to tying in a major way. Ide like to learn how to do my wraps better and tie an all around killer fly. Any pointers? also my birthday is on black Friday this year so i was planning on going down to the fly shop or Charles angler and having them help me make “master list” of materials and just get everything for my birthday. any help would be appreciated. still have my vice and a few bobbins.
Wow… for a 10-year old those are pretty darn good!! I am at the Fly Shop so come on down and we’ll get ya pointed in the right direction.

yeah for sure, wish I had started tying when I was ten. The only thing that would make it better is if you said they were tied with vise-grips haha. As to a master list good luck, my master list changes every day. Nikon will get ya set at the Fly Shop

Anything made by your 10 year old brother is worth using, whether it looks like a pro made it, or something that looks like from Beeker on the muppets.
I say he did a fantastic job!
Lol dont mean a true master list…impossible!! But yea with a couple pointers and a couple hours he did pretty good. He said just like the earings they made in art class with feathers. Great to see hes learning something lol
