I’ll be there based on Bud’s weather post on Friday night. If the weather is nasty I’ll have to wait and drive down for the next one. Hope to make it.

I’m gonna be a no-show Sat., (little hottie from work wants to go camping…)
So we will be on Capers island Friday and most of Saturday.

Sorry guys, I’m not going to be able to make it this weekend. I wish I had an excuse like Cut Mullet (although my girlfriend might not approve), but the work nazis told me I have to come in on saturday:dizzy_face: Oh well, I won’t miss the next time. Maybe the Wando or Copahee??

“Paddle Solo, Sleep Tandem!!”

weather report says 71 degrees and wind E/NE at 15mph. Will the wind make it hard to fish?

it wont make it hard to fish just got to find the right spots and well be fine there will be plenty of places to get out of the wind and fish the oyster bars down the river headed toward the light house got a freind of mine will be coming down and using my second yak weve lost a few guys but still should be fun how about tomorrow everyone that is for sure going to go make it know so we will know a ruff # at the landing if someone is running late so we dont leave them

Dawg,
this is pretty much what all the web sites are saying. Use your judgement if you want to come down from Columbia. We’ll have plenty more gatherings this summer. Im still planning on going out…

I am dying to try out the new Yak, so unless it’s really nasty I plan on coming. WTZ7196 gave me his cell, so I could call just in case something goes wrong on the road. It will be good to just get out and paddle around and get used to my Kayak. Hopefully we can run into a fish or two as well. It would be great to get together and do this at least once a month. Look forward to seeing you guys tommorw. I am shooting for being at the landing around 8:45.

Glad to see that we still have a group going! I can only fish for a couple hours but I will be there by about 830 - 845. See ya’ll tomorrow.

Matt

I’ve got to go out of town this weekend so I won’t be able to make it. Hopefully y’all will go out again soon and I’ll be able to go.
Let me know how it goes. Good Luck.

Brian

Got to the landing at nine, launched at 9:30. The wind was blowing down the river, I crossed the river and cut threw the grass towards little Oak Island. Then I paddled to the leward side of Long Island. Saw a half doz or so Reds in the grass but no takers. On the way back to the landing in the river with the wind to my back and the paddle out of the water…5.8 mph. Maybe we can hook up next time on a better day.
