Searching for a piece of property to build on that needs to be close to decent schools and in a good enough area to build a homestead on for generations. I know many properties pop up by word of mouth or FSBO on the side of the road, so if you see anything nearby and don’t mind letting me know I greatly appreciate it. Some criteria below:
$10k ac. or less
North of I20 and west of Broad River
No Leesville schools, Lex 2, Lex/Rich 5, or Newberry SDs
Near a golf course a bonus
That first part is going to be the hard part. Most land in that area is 20k an acre on up. Trust me, I looked long and hard.

I’ve found several around Prosperity and Little Mountain for $5k-$10k.
And I agree. Around Lexington land is higher. Lexington is actually at the bottom of my list. Prefer Irmo, Chapin, and areas North or East of the Lake.

geronimo is right on, i bought my 12 acres last year at 6500 per acre
geronimo, there is a guy about sell his 15 acres near my barn. its a beautiful piece of land, i was thinking of buying it but not the right time for me.
it has a pond and a creek, a 40x60 shop, and a 3200 sq ft house. it has 2 wells and 2 septics on the property, a new drive way, and some fenced in areas for goats. i know you said you were looking for land, but that may be something to look into. its in little mountain. i think he’s asking around 385k for it.

Thanks, but I was looking at having about $350k in everything with a similar size new house and 15 acres. I can build the house for $200k, so looking for land at $100k-$150k.
