Figured I’d give this a shot before buying a new one. Was wondering if anyone had an aluminum hitch they would be willing to part with? Something that looks like this:

I had one of those a while back I think my dad took it for his S10. It made my heavy boat trailer bounce a lot when coming to a stop. I changed it to a steel one and the issue was resolved.
Aluminum was nice looking and lightweight, but I would recommend steel if you’re towing much.
Just my experience.
Oh really? I hadn’t heard that being an issue. Hmm, maybe some others can weigh in. Thank you for the heads up

Aluminum fatigues and cracks eventually. I wouldn’t tow anything over 8k with it. B&W makes a chrome multi hitch if you need shiny. I use the regular black B&W on my fleet trucks that tow 10k lb mini excavators every day.

Looks good - functions terribly. We move boats commercially and have thousands upon thousands of miles on a standard ball mount. You will find yourself adjusting / tightening constantly. Save the cash, fuel up the tank on the boat and go fishing:smiley:

It does look cool.

Thanks for the input guys. I didn’t realize those issues. I’ll buy a steel setup.
