Even more so if you are admitting that you have more than your daily bag limit in your freezer!

You can have a possession limit in your freezer, which is 18. Who’s the moron now?

I’ve just posed this question to some DNR officers.

Other states’ regs actually define “possession limit” as the limit of game species that can be possessed by a harvester in the field or in transit. BUT South Carolina doesn’t define it in the regs, simply says “The maximum number of migratory game birds of a single species, or a combination of species, permitted to be possessed by any one person.”

So this means when I kill my 18 ducks and freeze them I have to stop hunting for the season until I eat some? That’s just ridiculous.

First response - Possession limit is handed down from the Feds. That limit includes the freezer in your home…

BUT, of course unless you’re poaching or doing something crazy to warrant it, they’re not going to come to your home and check your freezer. If so, I suspect there are LOTS of hunters unknowingly breaking the law.

Ohhhh, you got me there! Semantics really. You get the point!

You guys get your legal team together and let’s tangle… This should be fun… You guys know I love a challenge.

http://www.fieldandstream.com/articles/hunting/2013/08/truth-about-shogun-ammo#page-4

3.5 inch puts more pellets on target than 3 inch… Article says that 3.5 inch put 22% more pellets on target than 3 inch.

Is the 31#8260;2-inch more effective than the 3-inch? Yes—if you can withstand the recoil. “More” is only better if you can put it on target.

PS, I’ve shot a 3.5 inch pump since high school, so I don’t notice the recoil shooting my SBE at ducks. You can argue about “cost” if you want, but like $4 extra a box, that’s insignificant. That’s the price of a coffee… Don’t drink your grande white chocolate mocha latte (that’s what guys drink that can’t take the recoil) on the way to the duck blind and you’ll have enough money to pay for the extra 22% target hits.

The only reason I shoot a 3.5 inch at ducks is because they don’t make a 4 inch shell…

Need to go ahead and move this debate over to the hunting forum and off this fellas for sale thread guys.

Why? It’s going to get bumped every five minutes for days.

Best comment of 2017 so far. I am going to frame this and put it in my living room

Look at where Jesus went to pick people. He didn’t go to the colleges; he got guys off the fishing docks.

Thanks to the guys that PMed/texted me - I found one and will hopefully pick it up this weekend. I appreciate the (sincere) advice/■■■■■■■■ from everyone and am glad this has turned into such an exciting post…it is keeping me entertained. For what its worth - I have been and will continue to be shooting 3.5" at ducks and turkey… Im not a pro and need that little extra sometimes.
