Looking for a Benelli Super Black Eagle or similar Benelli semi auto shotgun. Not picky on color but must shoot 3 1/2" shells and dont want a pump. I know one of you duck hunters has an extra or wants to upgrade after this season
$1000 is as high as i want to go but would like to spend less - I dont duck hunt much but am starting to go a little moreā¦I actually bought my own waders for the first time this year (i have been borrowing friends for 10+ years haha).
Youāll be hard pressed to find a comfortech Benelli import for Less than 1k unless itās owner is hard up for cash or has beat it to death. They do come up occasionally but you have to act fast.
Go pick you up a brand new Franchi Intensity for 899 (camo) brand new at palmetto state. Shoots 3-1/2" and is intertia driven instead of gas. I was looking for the same thing you are but after some research decided the Franchi intensity was a way better idea. Same operation system as SBE for half the price. Check it out, it is super light also, only weighs 7 lbs or so. Put the smackdown on some ducks with it last weekend, no problems, my buddy with a SBE asked to borrow it this morning instead of using his

Save a few more dollars and stick with the SBE2. Same inertia Idea, but it carried out differently. Crio Barrel on the Benelli, the same inertia system theyāve used forever, holds its value, the list goes on. I own a 20ga Franchi Affinity, love it to death and its hell in the dove field, but the SBE2 is just a better gun, period, and a heck of a lot easier to clean. The recoil on the Franchi intensity shooting 3.5ās is also insane compared to the SBE2, makes follow up shots a bit%h.
Went by the gun store yesterday and they have something I want. Iāve got an almost mint Sbe2 comfortech, bottomland camo, all 5 chokes and the hard case I will part with. Shoot me a pm if interested, itās going to cost more than 1k though.
And why must it shoot 3 1/2" shells? I shoot 3" buckshot and only 2 3/4 for birds. Donāt limit yourself to the SBE. The M2 is a fascinating setup and will last you a lifetime.

Steel shot. 3 1/2 is the best for ducks.
I hope thatās a joke. A bad one, but a joke nonetheless. If you shoot 3 1/2" while duck hunting, you are a moron.
Personal preference. If your shoulder and your wallet can handle it, go for it. My gun shoots 3.5 and I only use it for turkey hunting, 3" for ducks and deer.
The shells you shoot just like leadenwah said is personal preference and wallet mainly, but also varies heavily depending the style of what you are hunting i shoot 3-1/2" almost exclusively and i am hunting swamp, but i can shoulder it all day without whining and want to make sure im giving the duck every opportunity to not fly away wounded. That being said 3" shells will get the job done just as good. Preference and what your gun likes to shoot is the main part
