I traded mine because the 4 wheel drive stops pulling when it losses traction in sand. Had to be pulled off beach twice. Chevy said that was how it was designed.
Started driveing my Duramax 3500 again when gas went over $3.60 and parked my Tundra! Hard to beat the milage.
yahoo; that is the first that i have ever heard of that. my son in a g.m master mechanic and he has never heard of that problem either. might just be your luck on that one unfortunately or a chevy person who has no clue.
I have a duramax (2005) and my truck has never done that and it has been in lots of sand. I drive it all around my family’s sand mine.
Before I moved here, I had to replace two transfer cases in the truck. The first one was at 102k miles (just out of warranty) and the second at 126k. That was covered by the warranty. I am at 162k and all is fine for now.
