wtb fishing yak

Looking for a used fishing yak, something like a tarpon 120 or a ride 135. Open to others. Let me know if youve got anything.

Check craigslist, I found 2 for about $125.00 each.

Im waiting to hear from someone on craigslist, doesnt look to hopeful and im looking for something a bit more advanced than those kayaks but thanks anyway.

Still looking everyone, trying to land a ride 135 or tarpon 120. If you know someone or yourself trying to sell one please let me know. Thanks again!

Not sure where you are but, maybe expand your search area if you can. I live in Columbia but often search Charleston, Charlotte, etc… You may find a deal good enough to justify a drive.

There is a very nice Slayer posted on the Myrtle Beach craigslist (yak in Wilmington, NC). I almost purchased this one but found one local and couldn’t justify the drive for this one. It also needs accessories (paddle, rod holders, etc) where the one I purchased locally had those.

That slayer is pretty freakin sweet but a little over what in wanting to drop on a yak at the moment…and my search is pushed out to savanah, columbia, and as far north as wilmington ( got family up that way).

NCFisher Not sure of your budget but I offered less ($1000) and had a verbal agreement not far from that…

Right now im looking at around 600 bucks, in a few weeks i can have more. Even still thats a killer price…

Wait a few weeks, save a few more bucks and go talk to DolphinDave at Time Out Sports. Not sure what a Tarpon runs there but they are around $700 online. Rides are just under $1,000. See what he can do price wise and then accessorize as you get the money to do so.

NCFisher - keep looking, one will come along. I bought a Slayer 14.5 a week ago off Craigslist from someone on Sullivans Island. I have spent the week getting ready to fish. Hope the weather holds for tomorrow so I can get out. I want to join the Lowcountry Kayak Anglers on Sunday at Paradise and I really would like at least a couple hours on the water before I join them.

Thanks guys, hope i can find one sooner than later. I was actually gonna head up to time out tomorrow and take a look around, starting to tweek a little bit not being on the water…

I started out a couple years ago in a perception access angler from dicks for $400. After a few months I wanted something more. I test paddled about 12 to 15 different kayaks. I ended up going with a malibu stealth because of the ability to stand and throw the cast net and drop my bait in my built in 5 gallon livewell. I couldn’t find another kayak for $900 that had all the options I wanted. Capt Dave on Daniel island sells them and you can test paddle one. I just wish I would have bought a good one first time around!
