I know that Whites, fisher, garrett, and Tersoro are some popular brands, I just was looking for a decent detector for a reasonable price.

I have a RadioShack cheapy I’d be glad to sell you real cheap. Works great, found a bunch of stuff on lake Moultrie when it went low. You just don’t know if your digging for a gold coin, or a foil mustard pack. It got replaced by a Whites.

That is more than I want to spend, I am sure it is probably worth it, but, I was looking at a new Tersoro Cibola for around 340.00. I am not sure how much I would use it. Please keep the offers or opinions on different detectors coming. Thanks

I have a Tesoro Cibola and love it. It is all you will ever need around here unless you want to go water detecting. The Cibola is well worth the $$$. Does not even compare to the Garrett Ace models or others in a slightly lower price range. I know a number of very serious hunters that use the Cibola as their go to machine. Also has a lifetime warranty.

I think that I am going to buy the Tersoro Cibola, I have done some research and it’s seems to be a great machine for the money. I also spoke with several retailers and they recommended the same thing. I would love to find a good used one.

I’m also looking for a detector. Just curious, what did you find at Moultrie? I walked the lake a bit and saw where someone had been detecting, just didn’t get a chance to do it with the lake low
