RedScout, what happened when you looked at the boat? Close the deal?
I was actually very impressed with the boat. It defiantly needs a good cleanings and a few small things with a few rust areas addressed. No soft spots or holes where there shouldn’t be. unfortunately the jack plate only goes down without a helping hand and the evinrude threw a check engine light about 5 min after launch so ther was no deal made. The boat went to the shop and we’ll try again after the checkup.
Interesting. I really do like that layout. Put a poling platform on it and that would be a very nice big-water flats boat. I’ve heard those Ficht’s are touchy but if they are running, they’ll run forever.
