Hello I am looking for a alunminum dual axel trailer to fit a 2006 21ft dlx Carolina skiff new or used any help would be appreciated.thanks
If you are looking for a New One call WESCO 8037941213 in West Columbia. You will have to buy through a Distrubtor and I respect that. They build a VERY GOOD trailer and if something goes wrong they will take care of you!
Thanks for the help!! I called a local dealer here in Spartanburg today and he called me back with a price. Can anyone tell me about the brakes he had 2 prices single or dual brakes on the axels? This will be a tandem axel. Do I really need brakes on both or just 1 its only like 300.00 more for the second axel? Any help would really be appreciated!!!

One axle or two with brakes depends on your tow vehicle, and the weight of your boat. Another consideration is towing distance. If it is normally 20 miles to the lake you are fishing, that is one thing. If you plan to tow it through the mountains of TN, that is another thing.
Can you ever stop too fast?!

Hello I will be pulling it with a 1500 Silverado 5.3 from the upstate to the hill, hartwell, murry, ect mostly sc and ga lakes.I have never had surge brakes on my trailer I didn’t know if I needed the extra brake set-up or would 1 axel be enough to stop this set-up. The boat is setting on a single axel trailer with 1 3500# axel and no brakes. Going to buy a new trailer and wont to make Shure I buy what I need the first time. thanks!

Well worth the money I dont care uf you pull 5 miles or 1000.
I would say surge brakes on only one axle if any… keep a close eye on them…after burning up 4 or 5 sets of bearings from the brakes sticking and heating up, i disconnected mine and have had far less trouble…Also go with torsion axles if you will be trailering alot. Much easier to replace a torsion arm on the side of the road than getting a spindle welded on or replacing the whole axle…

If you’ve had fun catching fish on the transom bait, you are welcome…
I’ve spent about 85% of my life’s wages on fishing, the rest I just wasted…
I would def go with the brakes but your boat is not so heavy as to need them on both axles. You should be fine with them on one axle.
Thanks guys I really appreciate the help!!!

I used to pull a 4000 pound bass boat setup with a Chevy S-10 without trailer brakes with no problems. I question whether you need brakes at all on a 3500 pound skiff setup with a Silverado 5.3.
