Looks simple enough to make if you have trouble finding some.

When I made mine I found ratchet straps with stainless hardware. My last set rusted and bound up from the salt water in the tank and general exposure. The stainless has held up well. I just googled stainless steel ratchet straps.

Nice work Bob!

Troy, at the risk of upsetting people, I’m going to tell my honest experience with buying the one that Perth Marine sells, which is identical to the one pictured on your link, if I am not mistaken.
I called and asked for details and the nice gentleman said it would fit my Creek Bank 30 gallon round tank (23" Diam.), no problem. I paid for it over the phone. I got it within a week.
The quality wasn’t what I was expecting. The thin tubes are attached with loops and hot glue, which is an OK way to do it and maybe better than rivets that can catch, but it was a little sloppy on craftsmanship. Glue in places it shouldn’t be.
More importantly it did NOT fit. It was too short by 8". There was something about the attachment I didn’t like, but I cannot remember what it was. I believe it didn’t have anything, like a buckle. Not sure.
Anyways, it didn’t fit so I couldn’t use it and the tubes were very thin. I sent it back on my dime and they promptly returned my original purchase price money via check.
Nice people, I just didn’t care for the product. I will build my own with better PVC pipe and a strap that fits-eventually.

I used two ratchet straps, white plastic rods holders and a strip of starboard to screw into on the other side of the strap. Wood is fine as well, I just have a tendency to overbuild. I think I put the holes in the straps five inches apart but whatever spacing works for you is good. The tip I would give you is to use a soldering iron to make the screw holes in the ratchet strap. That way you can tighten the screw without bunching up the strap. Anyone who has tried to screw through one has seen the threads stretch and pull the strap out of shape.

Just what worked for me

Try using the large plastic zip ties used in HVAC instead of ratchet straps, they will not rust and last for years. and can drill smaller holes in the pipe.

Heck yeah … I like that because it’ll also hold the bait tank in place … only drawback is if/when you go to upgrade the tank and the rod holder no longer fits …

What’s the price point on something like that, Bob?

It depends on the size of the bait tank, how many rod holders, & how it’s mounted.
I built that one for the 1st boat I got in South Carolina, a little 12ft. v-hull. Probably about 7 yrs. ago. I do remember it was fun trying to match the pipe to the radius of the bait tank.

Here’s a photo of the back of it.
