Might try his luck at Charleston Gun & Knife Show in Ladson, SC September 9 & 10, 2017?
If someone on this sight has a lever action 30-30 it would probably have sentimental value attached and not get parted ways with. 
From my experience most of those get passed down and not many bought new now.
